Vasko Atanasovski, Melem

The Atza Goja Quartet is a group of outstanding musicians, brought together by a composer and saxophonist Vasko Atanasovski in order to record a new album of original music. Atanasovski is renowned for his collaboration with world-famous musicians, his masterful approach to all music styles, and his remarkable body of work. The quartet consists of the leading European and international virtuoso instrumentalist, Simone Zanchini (Italy) on the accordion, a top-class tuba player Michel Godard, and Bodek Janke (Poland) on drums and Indian table, making his band debut. They will be joined on stage by Vasko’s son Ariel Vei Atanasovski, a talented and successful young cellist, studying at the Maribor Conservatory (Slovenia) and the Klagenfurt Conservatory (Austria).

Atanasovski has gathered prominent virtuoso European musicians to work with him on his ongoing and inspirational Melem project, meaning »remedy«. At the concert they will present their compelling original music, blending nostalgia, infinite love and eternal longing and passion.
